The automatic SuperMatic 4L70-E 2WD transmission is designed to complement any performance rear wheel drive application with exceptional strength and the shift characteristics enthusiasts want. Stronger version than the production based 4L60-E, features five pinion gear sets, heat treated stator shaft splines, seven plate clutch, and more. It is also capable of handling increased horsepower and torque. This transmission has the capability to use either the Chevrolet Performance stand alone transmission controller kit 809-19212657 or the GM Connect-N-Cruise Transmission Controller kit 809-19257634. Both systems are designed to operate with Chevrolet Performance Parts E67-based engine controller, which operates all of Chevrolet Performance Parts' LS-based crate engines with electronic fuel injection. And, while the systems are designed for "tuning-free" operation right out of the box, they also include optional connections that allow adjusting a number of calibration settings, including shift timing and shift firmness.
