- Engines without a cam thrust plate must use a cam button spacer when using a roller camshaft to limit lateral movement. The Crane Cams cam roller buttons reduce friction and deliver "free" horsepower. Crane soild aluminum spacers are for the budget minded racer. Machining of the cam sprocket may bee required for proper installation.
