The Detroit Speed SpeedRay Front Suspension Kit is designed specifically for the Chevrolet Corvette C2 & C3 and drastically improves the handling, ride quality and strength of the car. The SpeedRay system is a modern approach to updating the front suspension, while still utilizing the stock frame.
A proprietary design uses a lower cradle that bolts to the stock cross member, which relocates the lower control arm mounting points, providing a sturdy location for rack and pinion mounting. Forged steel cross-shafts relocate the upper control arm mounting points to help improve camber gain and lower the roll center.

The SpeedRay Kit also includes a splined anti-roll bar with aluminum arms, composite bushings, powder coated tubular upper and lower control arms with Delrin bushings, forged offset upper control arm mounting brackets with caster tuner bushings to optimize suspension geometry and provide clearance for larger engines. The system features 'Detroit Tuned' quick ratio power rack and pinion steering along with DSE aluminum uprights that are forged in the United States. The kit also includes Torrington bearings and a spanner tool for easy spring height adjustments.
Kits are available for either small block, LS or big block motors and come with a variety of shock options. With a small amount of fabrication The SpeedRay Front Suspension Kit can be installed in a Corvette without removing the motor or taking the body off the frame.
