The original equipment wiper transmission on certain BMW vehicles fails when the crimped plastic linkage becomes brittle over time and cracks, potentially causing damage to the vehicle when the wiper blade disengages. This Dorman OE FIX wiper transmission features a sturdy steel linkage that better withstands the elements and mechanical stress placed on the transmission assembly, providing longer service life and preventing the wipers from becoming inoperable at an inopportune time.
