Tall valve covers exist for a reason: once you fit roller rockers or a stud girdle, a stock stamped cover will not clear. These are cast aluminum with the extra height built in, and the internal baffles keep oil off the breather so the engine bay stays clean under sustained rpm. The satin finish is a cast look rather than a mirror polish, which hides fingerprints on a driven car.
