Sound Deflection Technology works by turning the exhaust against itself: three chambers redirect sound wave energy back into the incoming waves, which cancels noise without stuffing the muffler full of packing that eventually blows out. The result is a quieter exhaust than a straight-through design of the same size while still flowing enough to make power.
