Manifold bolt length matters more than people expect. Run one too long and it bottoms in the water jacket or head; too short and there are not enough threads engaged to hold torque through heat cycles. This set is cut to the 2.25 in. length the FE manifold pattern needs, in grade 5 steel, so the intake pulls down evenly on both sides.
