- Lab-metal is great for filling dents in metal and non-metal parts. It is a ready to use, aluminum filled repair and patching compound. No 2 component mixing or measuring, so there is no wasted product. No heat, special tools or specialized skills are necessary for use either. Lab-Metal will not shrink, crack or peel and is not affected by mild acids, gasoline, oil or petroleum solvents. Readily adheres to virtually any clean surface and no catalyst needed, so it's easy to apply. Use the Lab Solvent to smooth the Lab Metal to a glass smooth surface to minimize sanding.
