- Firestone air compressors are designed for use in a vehicle to inflate anything you need to inflate, from air mattresses to tires, anywhere you need to inflate it. The Firestone air compressors are included in Firestone Air Command and Firestone Air Supply kits, but Firestone offers them individually for custom applications. The air compressor systems are all direct drive compressors, meaning that there is no oil or belts to worry about. This allows the Firestone air compressors to be mounted anywhere you want to mount them, at any angle they need to be mounted. The are only two mounting requirements for Firestone air compressors. The first requirement is to mount it somewhere with good, clean air flow, and the second requirement is somewhere that it will never be fully submerged.
