FlowTech headers are available in long tube or shorty designs, with black finish, great-looking polished stainless or ceramic coating. Y-pipes are available for select header designs, for ease of connection. All FlowTech headers feature a ⅜” thick flange to ensure a leak-free seal at the cylinder head. 3-bolt flanges and 3” collectors are standard with FlowTech headers.
Fitment, Compatibility & Applications
FlowTech headers are available for all kinds of 60s and 70s era vehicles, including Mopars, Chevrolet, Ford, Pontiac and Oldsmobile, including fitments for Ford, Chevrolet and Dodge trucks. FlowTech even offers headers for rare and esoteric fitments like the Ford 352 to 428 FE engine family as well as Jeep engines, Oldsmobile 260 and 403 engines and AMC 290 and 401 engines. This includes popular models like the Mustang, Camaro, Nova, Chevelle and Camaro as well as full-size cars like the Impala and Caprice, as well as hard-to-find fitments for rides like the Ford Maverick, Dodge Ramcharger, Ford Fairlane, Ford Torino and even the 1980s Monte Carlo.
Some applications might require modifying stock exhaust to retain the catalytic converter, or modifications to parts like the AC compressor bracket or power steering pump bracket. Exhaust header wrap and spark plug wire boot guards are recommended when installing headers. Remember to check your state’s laws regarding emissions and exhaust modifications for street-driven vehicles; in some cases, headers are only permissible for non-emission controlled vehicles or vehicles used solely for the purpose of closed competition racing.
FlowTech also offers headers that are compatible with later vehicles equipped with catalytic converters, as well as a reducer that can be used with oxygen sensors. Tough 18 gauge tubing is designed for durability and rust resistance.
