Ford Performance 397-M-6007D392FT Features:
- These Ford Racing 392ci crate engines feature a new 2-bolt main Sportsman long block built with quality components: forged crankshaft, pistons, and connecting rods; front T-sump or rear sump oil pan; pickup; oil pump; roller rocker arms; pushrods; water pumps; timing chain cover; valve covers; damper; flywheel; and spark plugs.
- 430 HP @ 5500 RPM (with headers and a Holley 750 cfm carburetor, not included)
- 450 ft/lbs of torque @ 4000 RPM
- Compression Ratio: 9.7:1 (nominal)
- Ford Racing GT-40 aluminum cylinder heads and valvetrain
- Ford Racing hydraulic roller camshaft (Lift .563" Int/.584" Exh, Duration @ .050" 232° Int/240° Exh)
- MSD billet distributor
- Edelbrock single plane intake manifold
- Firing Order: 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 (same as 5.0L HO and 351W)
The rear sump oil pan fits most Fox bodies. A standard rotation water pump is installed on the engine; a reverse rotation pump is also included but not installed. The timing chain cover works with most regular rotation water pumps. The valve covers should fit most Ford Mustang and other non-EFI applications. The damper may require a spacer for pulley alignment. The flywheel should work on most 157-tooth manual transmissions (for other transmissions, use 28 oz flywheel).
Depending on the application, modification and/or different parts to
replace these may be required for proper installation.
