Five Layers for the Ultimate Fire Protection
The outside layer is flat Nomex; the three middle layers are Nomex knit; the inner layer is fire-retardant cotton for a cooler, more comfortable temperature. With an impressive Thermal Protective Performance (TPP) rating of 60, these race garments are classified as 3.2A/15 by The SFI Foundation. A higher TPP score means a driver has more time to evacuate in case of an accident or fire.
