The 3.8 pound weight savings per carburetor (Nearly 8 pounds on 2x4 intake applications!) is due to the use of aluminum in every aspect of the construction. The base plate and metering blocks are machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum. For added air flow the base plate contains aluminum anodized throttle plates, with button head, low profile style screws and PTFE® coated and sealed throttle shafts that have been slabbed. The throttle shaft linkage also has three adjustments for soft progressive, progressive or aggressive 1:1 activation. The metering blocks feature tunable power valve, idle feed and emulsion bleed restrictions. The main body venturi and top are polished by hand to provide low turbulence and increased flow. The venturi boosters are also machined from billet aluminum and feature twelve holes providing more efficient atomization of the fuel. The aluminum fuel bowls with dual inlets also include large sight glasses built in.
