The Holley 197-400 is a plug-in pigtail harness for wiring the exciter circuit on GM alternators with a 4-pin oval connector, common on LS and late-model truck engine swaps. It uses a Weather Pack style seal and includes an inline 560 ohm, 1/2 watt resistor that allows -- but does not require -- a dash charge light in the circuit. The 8 ft. of 18-gauge copper wire suits most installations.
