This universal solenoid can be used with a Holley bracket . The solenoid is used to increase idle speed when the engine is under load at an idle (typically when the air conditioning is on). A dashpot is used to prevent engine stalling on sudden deceleration on manual transmission equipped vehicles. The universal brackets are designed for use with all Holley carburetors that have the universal throttle lever and two threaded bracket mounting holes machined in the throttle body to mount the dashpot or solenoid.
