What kind of engine do you have, and what are you shooting for as far as performance and power? Howards Cams are available in a wide variety of specs and profiles to match your expectations. From mild cams with a smooth idle to cams with up to 288 degrees duration and up to .500” lift, there are Howards Cams that are perfect for street, towing, strip or all-out race applications. For select engine applications, Howards Cams are available as a full kit, complete with lifter set. Note that all Howards Cams are designed for roller rockers and hydraulic lifters.
Fitment, Compatibility & Applications
Howards Cams are available for Chrysler engine families that include the big block 383 and 440 (1959-82), 273, 318 and 360 (1964-2002). For Ford engines, Howards Cams are available for 221, 302 and 351W engines (1963-96), 351C, 351M and 400 engines (1970-83), 5.0 HO, 352, 428, 429 and 460 engines. For Chevrolet, cams are available for 283, 305, 350, 348, 396, 402, 454 and 502 engines as well as LS1 V8s. Howards Cams even has camshafts for Cadillac 368 and 500 engines and select Holden applications. NOTE: many Howards Cams camshafts are designed for non-emission controlled vehicles or vehicles to be used in closed competition racing. Check your state laws, and as always be sure of your vehicle’s year/make/model, trim level and engine when ordering.
