Reprogramming a Duramax L5P or L5D ECM traditionally means pulling the module from the truck, but the HP Tuners ECM-00-L5P-K kit works around that by modifying the E41 ECM through a dedicated upgrade harness while it stays mounted in the vehicle. The physical upgrade takes about 20 minutes and prepares the ECM for full read, edit, and write access in VCM Suite without an IMMO relearn, crank relearn, or Replace ECM procedure.

HP Tuners ECM-00-L5P-K Technical Specifications:

• Upgrades the GM E41 ECM used on 2017-2023 L5P and L5D 6.6L Duramax applications without removing it from the truck.
• Completes the physical upgrade in roughly 20 minutes using the supplied upgrade cable with an MPVI2+ (Pro Feature Set) or MPVI3 device.
• Avoids IMMO relearn, crank relearn, and Replace ECM procedures after the upgrade is complete.
• Delivers full scan, data log, read, edit, and write access through VCM Suite, with write times of approximately 6 minutes.

A VCM Suite-compliant computer running the latest VCM Suite BETA software, along with an MPVI2+ or MPVI3 device, is required to perform the upgrade and is not included with this kit.
