These Hughes fully competition PRO-III torque converters consistently have a hard launch yet soft transition down the track with the ability to repeat. In many cases, 60 ft. times will only vary a few thousandths from the first to last round. These custom units are the finest available on the market and incorporate several upgrades to create a winning product every time. Upgrades include; Torrington bearings, new springs & rollers, Silicon spot-brazed fins, redesigned internal sprag, dual anti-ballooning plates, 4130 chrome-moly turbine hub, and a forged aluminum stator that multiplies torque better than steel.

Each unit is handcrafted and requires the following information to build the best-suited converter for your application; engine & carburetor sizes, transmission type, vehicle weight, camshaft specs, rear end ratio, motor plate thickness, and in some cases, your desired stall ratio.
