Towing a travel trailer or cargo trailer with a light-to-moderate tongue load puts the rear of the tow vehicle into a squat that unloads the front axle and reduces steering and braking authority. This Center Line TS-Plus hitch uses a pair of trunnion-mounted spring bars to lever part of that tongue weight forward onto the steer axle and back onto the trailer axles, while four-point friction at the head damps side-to-side sway. Rated for 400 to 800 lb. of tongue weight and up to 8,000 lb. gross trailer weight, it is sized for smaller campers and utility trailers.
