Ford owners can choose from one of three different level of performance. Stage 3 delivers the best performance under virtually all driving conditions, boosting engine output by up to 50 HP and 108 ft./lbs. of torque. Stage 2 is optimized for continuous high engine loads such as towing a trailer up a steep grade, while Stage 1 is calibrated to safeguard the engine under the most extreme operating conditions of heat and load. Automatic transmission shift firmness can be adjusted to prevent excessive transmission fluid temperatures and premature clutch wear. Fuel, spark and turbo boost calibrations can be loaded onto the factory computer in minutes. The Power Programmer also stores the stock tuning and can restore it any time.
