Neutral Safety Switches are mounted on the lower steering column or the floor shifter of automatic transmission vehicles and behind the clutch pedal of manual transmission vehicles and allows current to pass from the ignition switch to the starter when the lever is in the Park or Neutral position or the clutch is depressed.
