• It is very important to fully read the enclosed instruction manual before installing this wiring harness to ensure a successful installation
• Use of a 4L60E or 4L80E transmission requires a 4-Terminal Brake Light Switch such as Painless 80176 or equivalent (sold separately) which has both normally open and normally closed sides on the switch
  • Connect normally open side of switch to the Brake Lights - when brake pedal is depressed, switch closes providing power to the brake lights
  • Connect the normally closed side of switch to the transmissions TCC (torque converter clutch) solenoid - when brake pedal is depressed, switch opens removing power from the TCC solenoid
• CAUTION: Failure to wire the brake switch correctly can result in the torque converter being unable to unlock causing stalling when stopping and rough or hard shifts
