JEGS Rollover Vent Valves are made from lightweight aluminum and designed with a one-way check valve that allows air to flow through the vent line under normal operating conditions, and in the event of a rollover, the valve closes off the vent line keeping fuel in the cell and not allowing it to spill over. These valves are available in internal and external mount applications and in AN sizes of -6 AN, -8 AN, and -10 AN. Aluminum fuel cells are designed to give you a better margin of safety in competition environments, and are actually a requirement for certain classes of competition. Aluminum fuel cells from JEGS are a great solution; they’re lightweight and rugged, with a wall thickness of .090” and TIG-welded seams. To head off aeration and sloshing, JEGS aluminum fuel cells are equipped with a foam insert and are offered in a great-looking polished aluminum, natural or powdercoat black finish that resists oil and gasoline.

Fitment, Compatibility & Applications

Choose from 2.5 gal, 3 gal, 5 gal, 10 gal, 15 gal and 20 gal sizes of these aluminum fuel cells. Please note that the foam compound in these fuel cells is only compatible with gasoline and will degrade with alcohol fuels; the foam baffle should be removed if you use alcohol. This includes ethanol blends like E-85, E-89, E-90 and E-100. Foam that’s compatible with other fuels is available separately. 

Select styles and sizes of fuel cells will call for an external check valve. This is also where you can find related parts and accessories, like flush aircraft-style fuel caps, mounting brackets and external check valves. With a 12 bolt bung, fuel caps are machined from 6061 aluminum and come complete with gasket and hardware. Select fuel cells will come complete with the sending unit for the fuel gauge, rated at 0-90 ohms and compatible with GM systems and gauges. This is a system that’s designed for non-emission controlled vehicles used in closed competition racing settings.
