JEGS 555-30849 is a 2.500 in. exhaust butt joint welding clamp that holds two square-cut lengths of 2.500 in. outside diameter exhaust tubing in position while you tack weld the joint. It looks and installs like a butt joint band clamp, but the stainless steel band is cut with welding windows so the seam can be tacked with the clamp still on the pipe. Mock up the system, set your clearance and angles, tack through the windows, then remove the clamp for full access to finish weld the joint.
