Ideal for floor boards (muffler/catalytic converter shield), fire walls, air boxes etc. Withstands 1800°F radiant heat and 500°F of direct contact. Designed with a 1/4" thick ceramic inner pad sandwiched between a layer of heavy duty stainless steel mesh. The inner ceramic pad can be removed and cut to fit, re-inserted in the stainless outer jacket and then folded over the outer edges creating a custom shaped, formable yet rugged product. Reflects up to 90% of radiant heat away. Requires rivets (555-82310 to 17) or stainless cable ties (555-10625 to 29) for retention (sold separately).
