CDI systems rely on multiple sparks which diminishes ignition power rapidly above 3000 rpm as there is insufficient time to generate multiple sparks in the ignition cycle. The JEGS Digital Ignition system generates much greater spark duration and total energy than CDI ignition through the entire RPM range.

JEGS DISG Ignition uses much higher amperage to saturate the coil and deliver a more powerful spark to the plug. High speed microprocessors control the coil saturation precisely to allow maximum spark duration for longer fuel burn between 1000 and 10,000 rpm as shown in the graph. A more intense and longer spark delivers greater power potential particularly when using slow burning fuels like Methanol and Propane Gas.

The JEGS DISG system uses digital spark management to provide easier starting and more precise and consistent spark delivery and system reliability. The JEGS digital system design is simpler, lighter and more resistant to vibration which is a common cause of ignition box failure especially in circle track applications.
