- JEGS High-Performance Thermostats feature a balanced sleeve design to provide a more consistent engine temperature for more consistent power! Due to unique three-port construction, our thermostats equalize system pressures above and below the thermostat's moving valve. Therefore, the thermostat only responds to system temperatures, not pressure. Compared to standard thermostats, these units have faster temperature response time and better coolant flow to the radiator.
