Transmission Fluid Fill Capacities

The JEGS 555-60322 GM TH400 automatic transmission is a remanufactured three-speed unit built to OE specifications for select 1964-1990 Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac vehicles that use the BOP bellhousing bolt pattern. It is assembled with all new frictions and steels for increased clutch capacity, new front and rear bands and sprags, and a rebuilt valve body with a shift kit installed for firmer, quicker shifts, then run on a dynamometer to check for leaks and evaluate shift quality. Rated to handle up to 450 horsepower, it is a direct replacement for a worn or failed original TH400 and the correct pattern for Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac engine swaps that need a TH400 behind a BOP block.

JEGS 555-60322 GM TH400 Automatic Transmission Notes:

• Designed to operate without a kickdown cable; the unit uses a kickdown solenoid with a case connector
• Shipped without the speedometer driven gear or its housing
• Works with a slip-style transmission yoke only
• Will not fit 4WD applications
• A torque converter and flexplate are not included and are sold separately
• A dipstick and transmission fluid are not included
• Not lockup compatible, and no trans-brake is included
• Not SFI approved
