Short Throw Shifter can be used with or without the optional Billet Base Mounting Bracket #555-62001. Does not fit vehicles that came with aluminum shifter knob (GT Premium with Premier Trim Package).

JEGS Short Throw Mustang Shifter fits the 2011-'14 Mustang V6/V8/Boss 302 with the 6-speed Getrag MT82 manual transmission. This high performance shifter has a 20% reduction in shifter throw and is made from nickel plated CNC machined steel (shifter handle) and billet 6061-T6 aluminum (shifter base). Handle has M12 x 1.25 thread and allows re-use of the stock shifter knob and retains the factory reverse lock-out mechanism. .
Optional Billet Base Mounting Bracket firms up shifts by stiffening up the back of the shifter mounting rail (replaces the OEM steel & rubber bracket with this CNC-machined billet 6061-T6 bracket). This special bracket can be used with or without the short throw shifter. .
