FAQ
What is the best way to store a floor jack?
- Store a floor jack in a dry area, preferably vertically, using a wall-mounted floor jack holder or stand to prevent oil leakage and maintain its performance.
How safe are Jack stands?
- Jack stands are safe when used correctly. Always place them on solid ground, use them according to weight ratings, and never work under a vehicle supported solely by a floor jack.
Do floor jacks wear out?
- Yes, floor jacks can wear out over time due to prolonged use, fluid leaks, or lack of maintenance. Regular checks and maintenance ensure safe and efficient operation.
What do you put under a floor jack?
- Safety first! You should always lift your vehicle on a hard, flat, and level surface, like a garage on a concrete floor. You can use a rubber pad or plywood under the floor jack to prevent damage to delicate surfaces such as blacktop driveways to help improve stability during lifting. Best practices: never use a jack or jack stands on gravel or uneven surfaces.
