The JEGS 555-97996 turn signal switch restores signal operation on 1963-1966 GM vehicles built with a factory tilt steering column. This is the column-mount style switch that attaches to the bottom and outside of the column housing rather than inside it, and it replaces OE part number 1993624. Worn contacts, brittle insulation, and a broken cancelling mechanism are common failure points on original switches after decades of service, making a fresh switch the reliable fix during a column rebuild or a full restoration.
