Upgrade the steering on your Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ by installing the JKS HD Tie Rod. The factory tie rod used on most late-model Jeeps is prone to bending due to its vulnerable position and light duty construction. Located directly forward of the front axle, it often makes contact with obstacles before anything else on the vehicle. When this occurs, the weak OE tie rod typically yields to the opposing obstacle before the driver even realizes contact was made. Your Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee's steering system can see extreme loads while off-roading. This heavy duty tie rod will enhance reliability. Even on-road, the increased unsprung mass of large wheels and tires further increases steering system loads. Heavy duty OE replacement. DOM Steel tube construction; 1.25 in. Diameter; 0.250 in.
