DIY installation is easy with the proper tools (no cutting or welding required). With features including mandrel-bent tubing to eliminate flow restrictions and stainless steel construction to resist corrosion, you can have confidence in the quality of this catalytic converter. Using state-of-the-art 3D scanning systems in the design process, the MagnaFlow metrology department ensures this new part to fit and function like the original equipment. This direct-fit catalytic converter is designed to fit the 1979-1981 Dodge D150, 1979-1987 Dodge D100, and additional vehicles. This replacement part is designed to meet or exceed California Air Resource Board requirements, and has undergone additional testing to comply with CARB guidelines to allow for legal use in California and CARB restricted states, for the listed vehicles.MagnaFlow Direct-Fit California Emissions Catalytic Converters are designed to original equipment specifications for easy, bolt-on installation. These converters feature a ribbed body that minimizes expansion and distortion when heated up. The ribs form a channel that protects the cushioning mat from direct exposure to exhaust gases, and they hold the ceramic catalyst in proper alignment. Direct-Fit Catalytic Converts use a monolithic honeycomb catalyst with a ceramic coating that is designed for maximum flow and surface area. The coating method is strictly controlled to maintain exact specifications.
