By replicating the OE spun body design, the single laser fusion weld greatly reduces the possibility of a leak, and our compact, low-mass design also allows for greater thermal efficiency. This direct-fit catalytic converter is designed to fit the 2003-2004 Chevrolet S10, 2003-2005 Chevrolet Blazer, and additional vehicles. The included gaskets & hardware reduce the possibility of a leaking seal while avoiding the need to reuse corroded factory parts for installation. This replacement part is designed to meet or exceed California Air Resource Board requirements, and has undergone additional testing to comply with CARB guidelines to allow for legal use in California and CARB restricted states, for the listed vehicles.
MagnaFlow Direct-Fit California Emissions Catalytic Converters are designed to original equipment specifications for easy, bolt-on installation. These converters feature a ribbed body that minimizes expansion and distortion when heated up. The ribs form a channel that protects the cushioning mat from direct exposure to exhaust gases, and they hold the ceramic catalyst in proper alignment. Direct-Fit Catalytic Converts use a monolithic honeycomb catalyst with a ceramic coating that is designed for maximum flow and surface area. The coating method is strictly controlled to maintain exact specifications.
