This anti-cavitation model features machined grooves in the housing and cover to reduce cavitation effects in high-RPM applications (housing & cover are also coated with manganese phosphate for rust prevention and longevity).
The cover is doweled to the pump housing to ensure shaft bore alignment.
The pump relief valve has a screw-in plug instead of a pin.
The driveshaft has a male hex drive, and the corresponding female hex intermediate shaft is included.
The 10552C uses the high pressure spring only.
With this pump design, oil pressure is slightly reduced at idle
For 7" deep oil pan, use Oil Pump Pickup #689-12557
For 7.5" deep oil pan, use Oil Pump Pickup #689-12558
For 8" deep oil pan, use Oil Pump Pickup #689-12559
