Damaged and / or worn rocker arm pivots will increase friction; can cause misalignment and inefficient arm movement leading to premature engine failure. A worn pivot will also not allow for proper valve train adjustment. Melling rocker arm pivots are manufactured to high quality and material standards. Melling recommends new rocker arm pivots with every engine rebuild.
