This design allows the option of adding a true thermostatic circuit to assist the warm-up cycle. This has proven to be a great benefit for engines with aluminum blocks because they tend to be built with tighter clearances, which require heat to avoid excessive wear. The pump can be configured with a variety of hose by selecting the appropriate inlet, outlet, and bypass fittings (not included).
