This is a manual gearbox lubricant, not an automatic transmission fluid, and it is worth being clear about that because a number of retailers list it incorrectly. It is a synthetic specified only for the five speed NV3500 and six speed NSG-370, where the factory fill is required to keep shift quality right. Substituting a generic gear oil in an NSG-370 is a well known route to stiff, baulky shifts when cold. Two quarts fill a transmission.
