The sump filter is what keeps clutch material and wear debris out of the valve body and pump on the RFE family of transmissions. A restricted filter starves the pump, and that shows up as delayed engagement, flare on the shifts and eventually damage that costs far more than a service. This genuine Mopar kit includes the filter and the pan gasket needed to put it back together.
