Most Chrysler rear covers seal with RTV rather than a paper gasket, so the sealant is the gasket and using the wrong one is how a fresh gear job ends up weeping oil. Scrape both flanges clean, run a continuous bead, and torque the cover evenly before the material skins over. This is the genuine Mopar RTV called out for that job.
