The camshaft position sensor tells the engine controller where the cam is in its rotation, which is what lets injection and spark stay phased to the right cylinder. When it drops out you get a hard start, a stall, or a no-start with a cam or crank correlation code stored.
Sensor Specifications:

- Covers 5.7L, 6.1L, 6.4L and supercharged 6.2L engines.
