A fuel tank skid plate is the difference between a rock strike being a scrape and being a ruptured tank. This is the factory plate for the Commander and Grand Cherokee, shaped to the tank contour and bolting to the existing mounts, so it also serves as the replacement for an original that has rusted through at the seams.
