This kit replaces a two-wire connector that has been damaged by heat, road salt or a pulled terminal. The leads come long enough to reach back to clean wire, so you can cut away the corroded section instead of splicing right at the failure point. Heat shrink is included to seal the joints, which matters on any connector living in the engine bay or under the vehicle.
