A fan shroud is what makes the fan actually pull air through the radiator instead of just stirring the engine bay. On a diesel working hard that difference shows up as coolant temperature climbing on a grade or while towing. Shrouds crack at the mounting tabs from vibration, and a broken one can end up in the fan.
Shroud Details:
- Fits 2010-2012 Ram 2500, 3500, 4500 and 5500 trucks with the 6.7L Cummins.
- Directs fan airflow through the radiator core.
- Supersedes 55056943AC, 55056943AD and 55056943AE.
- The moulding is brittle. Clear obstructions before fitting and check fan clearance after.
