This stud kit replaces the factory carburetor mounting hardware on 4-barrel carburetors with a 0.500 in. thick flange base bolted directly to the intake manifold. The 1.625 in. studs thread into the manifold first and let the carburetor drop straight down over them, which removes the guesswork of starting bolts blind under linkage or an air cleaner base. The 12-point nuts measure smaller across the flats than a standard hex nut, so a socket clears the carburetor body and fuel bowl screws in tight engine bays.
