With a crank trigger handling timing, the distributor only has to distribute spark, so it can be built short and out of the way. This small block Ford unit puts nothing but a rotor under the cap, which keeps the assembly low enough to clear tight intake and blower combinations, and it comes with a bronze gear for race camshafts.
