Coil Current Booster with 2-Step Rev Limiter for 1991-2017 Ford Modular Engines [Red]
A coil-on-plug Ford Modular engine making significantly more power than stock can outrun the spark energy the factory coils were designed to deliver, which shows up as a misfire under boost or nitrous. This booster raises the peak current at the coil and the spark energy at the plug by about 20 percent over stock, and it plugs into the factory coil connectors and harness so nothing has to be cut. A two-step rev limiter is built in for launch control.
MSD 8740 Coil Current Booster Features:
- Increases current at the ignition coil and spark energy at the plug, roughly 20 percent over stock.
- Factory style connectors plug directly into the stock coils and harness.
- Built-in two-step rev limiter for consistent launches and quicker 60-foot times.
- Rev limiting up to 10,900 rpm.
- Operates on a 6 to 18 volt supply, surface mount with hardware included.
- Fits Mustang, F-150, Expedition, Explorer, Crown Victoria and Lincoln Modular applications.
