Replacement air conditioning evaporator core for various Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac models including Skylark, Cutlass, and GTO. The evaporator core is where refrigerant changes state from a liquid into a gas, which is ultimately used to cool the interior of the vehicle. Located on the outer firewall, this OER Evaporator Core Outlet Case, known as the "air conditioning suitcase" assembly, is a fiberglass reproduction of the inner portion of the air conditioning evaporator cover. This item can be broken or cracked dueto the replacement of an engine or the addition of headers. For usewith big block or small block engines originally equipped with airconditioning.
