Reproduction of the original style evaporator core designed for use with 1967-69 Camaro 396, Firebird 400, and 1969-73 Chevy II Nova models with 396 big block engines and air conditioning. The evaporator core is where refrigerant changes state from a liquid into a gas, causing the sudden drop of temperature which is ultimately used to cool your interior. When replacing your evaporator, replacing all other major components is recommended. This core is located inside the suitcase assembly on the outer section of the firewall.
