Reproduction of the original boot retainer designed for use with 1970-75 Firebird Trans Am, and Formula models. Early 2nd generation Firebird Formula models came factory equipped with a then state-of-the-art Ram Air hood system. Air was filtered through twin horizontal hood scoops through boots and into the air cleaner assembly for increased performance and horsepower by using cooler outside air. The boots were retained to the underside of the hood with a specialized retainer plate. Previously discontinued by Pontiac, these retainers are once again available allowing a complete underhood restoration. Sold individually.
